Bizzare Delusion

The interviewer asks for evidence for the patient’s belief, and when evidence is supplied it is clearly impossible that these events could have occurred. A completely impossible belief like this would satisfy one of the major criteria for schizophrenia. The belief that the neighbours’ waving ( a real event) leads to the lasers firing (an impossible event) is called a Delusional Perception – another major criterion for diagnosing schizophrenia.
