Delusion of Theft

This is a typical delusion in that the evidence the patient provides is rather suspect at face value, and when challenged to consider that there might be other reasons for what she’s experiencing, she flatly rejects any other explanation. People with dementia are particularly vulnerable to developing ideas that they are being robbed, as they often misplace objects (forget where they have put them) and assume that someone else must have taken them.
