What parents and carers need to learn
Teach parents and carers how to improve their children’s mental and motor development at home. Show:

1) how to make simple toys (e.g. shakers, dolls) from discarded materials;
2) how to use everyday activities to stimulate speech and other skills;
3) how to play with children in ways that stimulate their development.
