Learning by sections
Sections will guide you through each topic of All Things Insulin sequentially. There are eight different sections which you can work through in turn:

- Section 1: An introduction to insulin and diabetes:
Provides an overview of what insulin and diabetes are and why they are important.

- Section 2: How the body controls blood glucose concentrations
Provides an overview of how the body normally controls blood glucose concentrations.

- Section 3: How insulin works and what happens in diabetes
Provides an overview of how insulin produced in the pancreas acts, why insulin action is decreased in diabetes and what this does, and how this insulin can be replaced with manufactured insulin.

- Section 4: Types of insulin available for clinical use
Provides an overview of how the insulins are classified based on their duration of action, constitution or concentration.

- Section 5: Clinical indications for using insulin
Provides an overview of the clinical situations in which it is appropriate to use insulin.

- Section 6: Administration of insulin
Provides an overview of factors that can promote safe insulin prescribing and the means by which insulin can be administered for clinical use.
