Photos and videoFlickr is an online photo management and sharing application. Meanwhile Facebook users can upload their photos directly onto the site. And even if you're in someone else's photo they are free to upload it to either Flickr or Facebook (or other sites) and tag your name to it without you being able to stop them. Since the advent of Facebook and Flickr, people have had to worry about this new culture of completely open information and how it could affect reputation. Some worry more than others, but to a certain extent, we should all be wary of what we post in terms of personal images on social networking sites.

Be careful about the use of photos:
• If you post any photos of yourselves or colleagues in uniform, or in an identifiable work setting, you should ensure that these represent a professional image of you.

• Some trusts will recommend that staff should not use a photo of themselves in uniform as their profile picture, as this could give the impression that their site is an official site.
