Meanings are conveyed through typed words. You cannot see people nod their heads or smile so emotions might be easily misunderstood.

What you say may have a different meaning to individuals without seeing you such as "You must be joking" (without seeing someone smile) or "I don't believe you" (without seeing someone grimace).
