Project summary

Following the successful development of VPs in BM5 Years 1 and 2, the next phase of the Virtual Patients project is currently being rolled out for BM5 Clinical Years. VPs in Years 1 and 2 guide students through the clinical process while helping them learn basic science in a clinical context. Clinical Year Virtual Patients will have a different focus.
BM5 students in their clinical years undertake numerous clinical attachments at hospitals or GP surgeries developing their clinical, decision making and patient management skills and getting ready to practice. To support their learning, this project aims to develop Virtual Patients, which students can use as learning and revision tools consolidating key clinical skills, history taking, physical examination, investigation, differential diagnosis, clinical reasoning and decision making (and patient management for final year).
