This procedure can be used when the:

Outcome (Dependent) variable is a Binary measure
Exposure (Independent) variable is 2 independent groups

Present this graphically using a Clustered or Stacked Bar Chart

Use the SPSS procedure Crosstabs to create the graph
or
In SPSS select: Graphs > Chart Builder - Gallery – Bar | Clustered Bar or Stacked Bar

Analyse this in SPSS using:

Analyze >Descriptive Statistics > Crosstabs
     Use the Statistics button and select Kappa, Exact button and select Exact

The Exact Sig. is the p-value

Report this quoting the:

Kappa, 95%CI and p-value
Use Confidence Interval Analysis (CIA)Diagnostic Studies | Kappa to calculate these values

Comments

Interpretation of Kappa values <0 = Poor agreement, 0.0 to 0.20 = Slight agreement, 0.21 to 0.40 = Fair agreement, 0.41 to 0.60 = Moderate agreement, 0.61 to 0.80 = Substantial agreement, 0.81 to 1.00 = Almost perfect agreement.
Note: Kappa can be used with more than 2 categories.
